HeartCode BLS Skills Session

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. This course is designed for those who are renewing a BLS certification and want flexibility when completing training. This course consists of two parts.

 

Part 1:

Complete the online portion that is sold separately. Must be completed BEFORE signing up for the skills session. A copy of the online completion certificate must be presented before the student will be allowed to complete the skills session. Only HeartCode online classes through the AHA are accepted. You may purchase the Heartcode online portion by visiting shopcpr.heart.org and searching for HeartCode BLS.

 

Part 2:

Sign up for the skills session where you will practice-while-watching before you are tested. An ecard will be emailed within 2 weeks of the completion of the course, valid for 2 years.

HeartSaver CPR/AED

Heartsaver CPR AED is geared for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion ecard within 2 weeks, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course. Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED use and relief of choking are all covered in this course.

Required student manual sold separately and must be brought to class with you.

*Not intended for healthcare workers, nurses, dentists, those in nursing school or anyone looking to enter the healthcare field. Please register for a BLS course instead.*

Family & Friends CPR

This course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and sever airway block for adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA's research proven practice-while-watching technique. This provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

Books are included with the purchase of this course.

Intro to Babysitting with Friends & Family CPR

This is a 3 1/2 hour introductory course for students in grades 608 who are interested in learning how to safely care for children.  Students learn tips to manage behavior that will help them stay in control of themselves and the children in their care.  Students also learn the ages and stages of child development, as well as practicing diapering.  This class is combined with the Family & Friends CPR course where they will learn Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and Relief of Choking.
